He mentioned that early fears about AI have calmed down, and people now see its potential benefits when used responsibly, like other technologies such as electricity, nuclear energy, and the internet.

He also stated that Infosys is committed to developing software responsibly and has trained 250,000 employees in generative AI. The rise of powerful open-source AI models has sped up the use of AI to tackle difficult business and societal issues.
Nilekani believes that as AI is applied to more areas, many new solutions will emerge. He explained that while consumer AI can make life easier and more productive for many people, enterprise AI is much more complicated. Implementing enterprise AI will require a thorough overhaul of existing technologies within companies and better organization of corporate data so that AI can use it effectively.
