The following is an extension of our previous post, in which we provided a sample Functional Specification Document (FDD) from the SAP HANA project. Following their reading of the FDD article, readers are interested in seeing an example Technical Specification Document (TDD) up close. Permit me to reiterate. The SAP Projects documentation process is still the same. The TDD would be written in the same manner as before the HANA era.
So, if you’re a curious newbie to ABAP and HANA, please refer to the sample TDD provided below. It is not exclusive to ECC or HANA. Any SAP project can make advantage of it.Typically, during the first stages of a project, the document format is set.
PS: It is entirely accidental if there is any similarity to any real project document—alive or dead, ongoing.
We hope that our ABAPers would feel more confident after reading this technical specification. Not much has truly changed in terms of documentation. It is the same wine in a different project, as we previously stated.
